Looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful beamed cottage a short distance away from Scafell Pike, England's highest peak and Wastwater, the deepest lake in England?
Hardingill Cottage was built in 1781 of traditional sandstone and slate and has been lovingly renovated to provide characterful accommodation for 4-6 people over four floors. A woodburner provides a wonderful focus in the living room in addition to modern gas radiator central heating. There is plenty of comfortable seating and a separate dining room seating 6 for that special meal or Christmas.
The kitchen has been recently refitted and has an electric range cooker, dishwasher and all mod cons for you to eat in although for those wanting a break from all that, the village is well served by numerous pubs, and a wonderful Italian restaurant to cater for all tastes and all within walking distance.
The spacious ground floor bathroom benefits from a separate shower cubicle as well as a full size bath to ease those aching limbs after a strenuous day on the fells. There are two televisions, a Smart TV in the living room with Now Entertainment and Cinema, plus a TV and DVD player in the Den. A selection of dvd's is provided. There is a cosy double room on the first floor with lovely views to the coast, and the attic room has twin beds or a king sized bed as desired, with views down into the village and over to Muncaster Fell.
